Well, it's a tad late, but last Friday we had our "TRUNK or TREAT" with our ward and it was a great time for all. We were inside for a while and we didn't see Kai that entire time. He was off running around the cultural hall with his buddies. He was literally dripping in sweat when we finally got a hold of him. Payton had the best time playing on the stage with the other kiddies. At one point she was just dancing around with some random skeleton arms in her hands. How fitting, eh? After a tasty meal, we all headed outside for the trunk or treating. It was already getting late, so that didn't last too long which was OK by me. All in all, it was a success!
Halloween night was especially fun. We started the evening at a little Halloween get together at the Roney's. Delicious food and great company always makes for a great time. To my surprise, Kai had told me early in the day that he didn't want to get dressed up AGAIN (he had a school party that day, too) and he had enough candy,so he didn't want to go trick or treating. Well, after the Roney's party and seeing and playing with all his friends, he changed his mind (of course) and wanted to go out trick or treating after all. At that point, I was looking forward to just going home & relaxing, passing out candy, etc. So, I had to change back to action mode and get him ready. Luckily, his costume was a no brainer. We all went out, caught up with the gang, and hit a few houses. It was fun and I just didn't have the heart to not go! Now, we have WAY too much candy, but that's how it goes, eh?
