a perfect day...

We all know how hot it has been the past few days and the thought came to me," Why am I not at the beach?" Obviously, I was out the habit and not in the "beach going groove". So, last night I was talking to my lovely friend, Laura Ek, (also my beach going partner) and mentioned that the beach would be fantastic. She concurred and before you know it...we were sitting at Crescent Bay being warmed by the November Sun! Let me tell you...it was wonderful. The kids had a blast playing in the sand. They were even excited by the, may I say, freezing cold water.
It could not have been a more perfect day. As we walked down the hill Kai said,"Mommy, the ocean is sparkling!!" When I looked up (cause I was really concentrating on not letting go of the stroller and sending Payton to her demise) I saw the clear and shiny water. The sky was so clear that the water was reflecting it back. It was awesome. The beach had about 1 person on it before we got there, so we basically had our very own private beach today. It was so fun! Life is Good here!
