I can't believe she is already 3!

2.20.09

I can't even tell you how fast this past 3 years have been. It seems like just yesterday that Payton was born. Well, a few days ago we had a little Hello Kitty Party for her and it was a blast. We had some of her favorite gal pals and her favorite little man over to bring in the big day. Not a lot of agenda, just some t-shirts and free play, so overall it was a super easy party. The best part was that Payton was actually aware that it was her "special birthday"...as she liked to call it. I caught her singing Happy Birthday to herself in the mirror 3 times that day. It was adorable. I feel like she has grown up so much in just the past month! She talks so well and expresses herself almost perfectly. I have to admit this is my favorite age. I love when children become "kids" instead of babies/toddlers. Minus the ginormous tantrums, this is when the fun of being a mom really begins in my eyes.

A few of the kids were not into having their picture taken, so they are missing here. I'm sure I was agro with trying to line them up. I probably scared them away...poor things! :)

Luckily, Jared got to hang around for a few minutes before heading off to work. I got a picture, so I feel it was a success!

We had some good ol fashioned cupcakes for dessert. As I brought the plate down for Payton to blow out the candle I had a swarm of 6 little kids blowing on me. It was pretty funny.

Laura came to help me out. Jared had to go to work, so without her I would've drowned. She is a true friend!

Kai had school during the party, so he was so excited to come home and give his sister some love. Of course, he had to get her some pink "girl" legos for her present. The best part was that he gave it to her then proceeded to put them all together. She just looked at it and said, "Good Job, Kai!" It was priceless.

Happy Birthday, Payton! We love you so so much!
