The other day when I picked up Payton from school I was showering her with kisses in the car. It was one of those things...you know, you start and you can't stop yourself cause they are just so darn adorable. Anyhow, after I finished, Payton looked at me and said:
"Mommy, you're my friend! And, I love my friends!"
I giggled and my heart was full! I tell ya, when that girl is sweet, she is SWEET!!! She is really coming up with her own thoughts and sayings these days and I'm loving it. She's turning into a big girl now. How time is flying by!
Now on to Kai...
A week ago or so, Kai gave my cell phone number to one of his buddies at school (I had him memorize it in case he ever got lost). Well, the past few days his friend has been calling to "tell Kai something he forgot to tell him before they left school". Well, today Kai was at a play date when this friend called, so I said Kai would call him back later. So, when Kai got home I gave him the phone and he called back. He had to leave a message on their machine and here's how it went:
beep
"Hi Alec, I'm calling you back to see what you wanted to ask me. This is Kai. I'm calling. So, we're not home right now,but leave us message and we'll call you right back! Thanks a lot...BYE!"
I started laughing to myself because if you've ever called our house, then you've gotten our machine (wink). Kai said exactly what I'm saying on our machine in EXACTLY the same tone and way that I say it. It was super cute and very funny!
