Well, a few days ago Payton and Kai came down with a case of "Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease" and, let me tell you...It's lame!
It all starts with a fever (which just Payton got) that lasts about a day, then they break out in sores (or blisters) in their mouth, on their hands and on their feet. A child can have all or just a few symptoms, so it can be hard to detect in some. Well, Payton has ALL the symptoms and is miserable. Kai, on the other hand, seems ok...just a tad tired and only a couple blisters. (Yes, I know what you are thinking...NASTY!) Payton has it bad with lots of sores on her hands and feet and in her mouth. She didn't eat or drink for about 2 days and it was making me nervous. Her diaper was dry for an entire day. Scary, eh? Jared, being the amazing dad he is, sat and fed Payton water through a syringe...one tsp at a time. It took about 45 mins. She only drank it cause she was interested in the syringe. So, basically, my kids have been watching the 'ol boob tube WAY more than I like (and I usually allow a good amount, what can I say?). But, this thing is really contagious, so you have to stay home ALONE...isolated from the real world. Poor babies, and poor me, frankly. Hopefully, none of your kids will get this cause it is NO FUN!

I need to stop complaining then. We were home all last week but my boys just had a cold/cough. We finally got out today, which was so needed. We watched WAY too much tv ourselves. That picture of Kai in the red t-shirt is the cutest picture i have ever seen!!! He is the cutest!
Oh...I am so sorry Camille. That's horrible! Nothing is worse than being stuck inside ALL day, especially since I felt trapped all of last week as well with the fires. We really need to get together when the kidos are feeling better.
Are you kidding me? I have never heard of such a thing!! I am so sorry...I hope the kiddies get better soon.
Oh no!! That is the worst! I hate feeling stuck in the house. Wait, how can your kids still be so cute and so sick?
Glad that you guys are holding up okay. Looks like you are alive and still entertaining them. Who care about too much TV. You are on survival mode. Poor thing. Hope it gets better! We miss you guys!
Hey Camille! Of course I remember you! You have such a cute family! I love all of the pictures! It's so fun in the blogger world to discover how we are all connected! I hope the kids are feeling better!
Cami- How do your kids look so cute and healthy when they are sick? Mine are pale and have dark circles under their eyes.
