WHERE DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND?
After hearing about the mysterious Jared Bunker through my dear friend, Hillary Gardner (now Rothey) - I finally met him while I was hostessing at ROSA'S in Provo, UT. He actually came in on a date with a friend of mine. I was the one who showed them to their table, etc. I had already seen him at a party a week before (and thought he was probably the sexiest guy I'd ever seen), so I was on heightened surveillance of him, if you will. I kept going up to their table to talk to my friend. Or, interrupt their date as much as possible - depending on the way you look at it. I remember thinking he was very attentive to me. It was awkward, but I liked it.
WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING HE SAID TO YOU?
My friend introduced me to him when they first came in and he said, "Oh yeah, my sister told me about you!"
His sister, Lauren, had mentioned that she wanted to set us up. I was like, "Yes, and she mentioned you as well." ...awkward!
WHEN WAS YOUR FIRST DATE?
Our first date was a couple of weeks later. Sept. 14, 2000 to be exact. We went shopping for food, went back to his house and cooked together. We made halibut and steamed veggies. It was pretty good, too. After that we went in the spa. That was my idea cause I wanted to check out his hot bod. And,boy, was it HOT!
WHEN WAS YOUR FIRST KISS?
Our first kiss was exactly one week later...Sept. 21, 2000. Jared had taken me out to Mongolian bbq and then to his house to watch "Blairwitch Project" (scary). He drove me home and the "tension" was high so I just kept talking and talking. I could tell he was going to kiss me, so I seriously could not shut up. Finally he said, "So, I've been wanting to kiss you for a while, but I don't want to interrupt you!" I laughed and then just went in for it. I might have let my hand slide a bit on his tush, but that is a little racey for this blog. Hands down, though, best kiss I had ever had!!!

LONG/SHORT COURTSHIP/ENGAGEMENT?
We dated for 5 months and were engaged for 4. ( I would have married him the week after our first date cause I knew I wasn't letting this one go. No joke there!) Jared had snuck into my apt. while I was at school. When I came home there was a dozen roses that were numbered with a note attached. I read each one counting down to one. When I got to #1, he came out with one white rose and did the whole on one knee, etc. I was so shocked and excited that I don't think I even said yes. I just tackled him and, well, smothered him. I didn't see it coming cause we hadn't really talked about getting engaged really. Jared and I both agreed that we thought things like that should be a surprise. It worked...I was surprised!

WHERE WERE YOU MARRIED?
Oakland, California LDS Temple - June 16, 2001. It was really beautiful and really hot that day. Loved every minute!

WHERE DID YOU SPEND YOUR HONEYMOON?
We zoomed off to Kauai for 9 days then camped in Mexico for 3. Talk about extremes. It was fantastic in every way.

Well, 6.5 yrs later and the love is still going strong. As cool as I thought Jared was then, I had NO IDEA what an amazing and genuine man he is. I could go on and on, really! I'll just leave it at this... I am LUCKY!
So, now it's your turn to tell me (and everyone else) your little love story. Come on...just do it. If you read this you are tagged!

That was great to read! I love the pictures!
So fun hearing your trip down memory lane. Tell Jared I'm excited for more stories and pics of him on your blog! Haha. J/K Fun chat tonight, thanks for the laughs. Have a Merry Christmas and we'll catch up after the New Year! (I might sneak on the computer when I need a break from the in-laws...so you might hear from me before the New Year!)
You two are love birds....i don't know if i can do this tag now, because my story won't sound as romantic as yours!
Cute! I like that first picture as well--We will see if a love story appears on my blog...or not!
you guys better do it! It is so fun to remember it all. Do it!
That was HOT and HEAVY and I liked it! Cami- I LOVE how you guys still die over each other like newlyweds! It is SO great! Your wedding picture is beautiful! I loved your dress... so you! P.S. Why it is that everytime we are at the same place at the same time, you are leaving just as I am getting there?
Adorable Camille! I loved reading your story. I was seriously laughing out loud at Jared's, "I wanna kiss you but don't want to interupt!" I love that you can talk about anything and everything in like five minutes flat. You're so great. You and Jared are a striking couple (with adorbale kids to boot) and what a great story you have!
He is the lucky one, you are a great catch!
that is so freaking cute! I love you guys! I don't know if I'll be doing the whole love tag though, Rob might kill me! I love all the pictures though too! That was really fun to read!
ah shucks...you guys are so nice to me. I feel so good about myself right now. I love my friends!
As if it wasn't bad enough that every intimate and sacred detail of our life is being plastered over the internet for the whole world to see, but then you don't even get the story right. Our honeymoon was in Kauai not Maui!!! I guess it was more special to me than to you. Just kidding, Babe. Just giving you a hard time. Love you more today than ever. Jared.
oops, habit with writing Maui. I'll fix it!
Babe, you know you love all the publicity. Don't even pretend. J/K...You are a good sport. Sorry if I just can't help shouting out how awesome you are! :)
Camille - I found your blog through Barbara's... how cute are you and Jared??! Also, your Christmas card is so great - your kids look adorable! Haven't seen you in awhile... hope all is well. We'll have to get together after the new year sometime...
Nicole
Ohhh. I love gooshy love stories. Sorry but I can't share mine because it's hard to top yours...and my in-laws think we met under totally different circumstances than what I would publish.
Camille, you did sooooooo good today! I was so proud! I was smiling the whole time!
Thank you for the yummy candle, it smells divine. What exactly is the proper care of this candle. (Do I have to snip the whick, and if so how much). We love you!
Just waiting for a new post girl.....
Ok, that was some fun reading material. You ARE a gusher..and I like it! Such a cute couple you guys make! That was a great story. Although I don't think it will top yours, I'll have to dig out our old pictures and see what I can come up with. It will be fun to reminisce! Also, I am laughing at the 'Kai comments' --classic! lol...
Hey Camille! Just thought I'd say hi! I found your site on Patience's. I love the pictures of your family in green at the beach. You all look really good in green! How are things at Windsong? I wish you would've moved into Windsong sooner, so that we could've gotten to know each other better before I left. Looks like things are going well for your family. I think I'll put you on my link list so I remember to stop in once in awhile and see what you're up to. Just thought I'd say hi!
I am glad to see that I am not the only one who hadn't updated my blog in awhile.
Ok, so I know we are all waiting for an update...please :)
