Well, it seems as though Easter has come and gone and we have the roll of photos to prove it. This holiday is probably one of my favorites for picture taking, I must admit. All the colors and themes, what not. With much anticipation, I laid out the kids Easter wardrobe. I warned Jared that even though we may be rushing off to church, I would be taking pictures of the kids out front before we left. Getting "the shot" isn't AS important to him as it is to me, so I had to prepare him that I would be relentless. (I have this theory that if you admit you are being annoying then it's more forgivable.) Anyhow, the kids were finally dressed and ready to go and I started snapping away. My one wish was that Payton would just look at the camera already. Every time I was ready to take the perfect pic she would notice me and immediately turn away, run away, turn around, etc. What is up with that?!! I mean, really...it was exhausting. Kai, on the other hand, would smile and cheese it up for me. Gotta love him! In the end, I didn't get the picture I had imagined in my mind... Kai and Payton holding hands, grasping their baskets that were neatly filled with eggs, smiling with their eyes open and looking right at me, all the while standing in front of some lush green trees and bushes. The funniest part about that scenerio is that I really thought I was going to get that shot. If I look on the bright side, I most likely got one of those elements in each of the 25 pictures I took. :) It was a great day and we really had a great time with our family. Hope everyone else had a great day, too, and maybe got the picture they were trying for!
