Today when I picked up Kai I told him that I missed him so much. I asked him if he missed me, too. He said he did. Then, we were off to pick up Payton. Once we were all in the car and driving away I told Payton that I missed her and asked her if she missed me. She smiled (I took that as a yes). Kai looked at me with a sad look and said:
"Mommy, when I was having fun today, I DIDN'T miss you. I didn't want to tell you that before because I didn't want to hurt your feelings. But, that is the truth!"
I started to laugh and told him that's ok and it was totally normal to not miss your mommy if you are having lots of fun. This kid just keeps getting more and more adorable!

Oh my little angel. O has NEVER said anything remotely close to that, except today when I went to pick him up from preschool, I gave him a big hug and he says Mom, don't touch me! I am hoping he comes around! :)
